August 8th at Layalena The Womans Entrepreneurship Initiative will be putting on an event to raise money for widowed women in India. The mission of the Womens Entrepreneurship Initiative is to encourage social entrepreneurship among women by providing grants and microloans in the aftermath of social epidemics. In support of this mission the Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative will: • Empower individuals and organizations worldwide through the encouragement of social entrepreneurism; • Create new jobs that are needed, wanted, and encouraged by the surrounding community; • Alleviate current debt and break the cycle of debt inheritance passed on through generations; • Use social entrepreneurial activities as a way to minimize social epidemics that arise from debt inheritance such as suicide, fleeing the country, and violent protests. Momentarily we are working in India and are having an even in Phoenix this coming August. Please come and join us to support this cause and watch some fantastic performers!
